"kafabindünya" is an ambient, experimental, post rock based band from Istanbul/Turkey. They are known for their "hypnotic" live shows and shocking high volume. The band composes and plays instrumental music. The project is based on an idea of Burç: "Ordinary songs with lyrics limit the story that the listener imagines, by the lyrics of the songs. "kafabindünya" composes and plays instrumental because they want the listener to imagine his/her own story and use their music as the soundtrack of their own fiction, by just limiting the edges of their imagination, with -only- the name of the songs."

Karuan (also Karwan Marouf or simply Karwan) was born in 1976 in Vienna as the son of Kurdish parents. Karuan's love for music arose from the Kurdish singer Şivan Perwer and from the traditional Kurdish celebrations. At the age of six Karuan started to record his singing on music tapes. Ever since that day making music is Karuan's most favourite occupation. In 1995 Karuan started to work on his own solo projects which were largely inspired by Folk and Black Music. Asfalt Dünya is a Turkish rock band formed by M. Emrah Özdamar (vocal), Ertan Haktanır (guitar). Their first studio album “Ormanlar Kralı” is released in 2007 which recieved good reviews from critics. Later on Cüneyt Karayalçın (bass) and Deniz Alemdar (drums) were added to bands current line-up and recently they are recording their second album. Release date is TBA. .
