Carroll Gibbons (January 4, 1903 - May 10, 1954) was a British (but American-born) musician, bandleader and composer. He was born and raised in Clinton, Massachusetts. In his late teens he travelled to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1924 he returned to London with the brassless Boston Orchestra for an engagement at the Savoy Hotel in the Strand. There are at least two bands known as The Gibbons: 1) Formed in 2001, the Gibbons were a DIY punk band from Detroit, Michigan often compared to Jawbreaker, Leatherface and the Lawrence Arms. Steve Gibbons (born 13 July 1941, Harborne, Birmingham, England) is an English rock vocalist. The Dominettes Steve Gibbons started his professional life as a plumber's apprentice in Harborne. He joined the Dominettes by 1960 to replace Colin Smith, who had left to join Jimmy Powell's backing group. Colin Smith later changed his name to Carl Barron and became the singer with The Cheetahs. An Elvis Presley fan, Gibbons' first performance with The Dominettes was at The California public house near Weoley Castle. Leroy Gibbons burst on the dancehall scene in the mid-1980s with his strong voice and Lovers Rock style. He fell in with the Jammys camp, performing over the King Jammys sound system regularly and recording the popular album "This Magic Moment" for the label as well. He is known mainly for cover versions of oldies, such as "Cupid", "This Magic Moment" and "Stir It Up" as well as a few of his own originals. Leroy most recently was in Jamaica performing several dates for King Sturgav in the latter half of 2007. He now lives in Canada. .

Tim Gibbons first started playing music in high school as a drummer in garage bands, then switched to banjo and guitar around the age of seventeen. It was then that he scored his first professional job playing guitar in a blues combo backing exotic dancers at a notorious burlesque theatre called “Starvin’ Marvins”. Emboldened by this experience he left home to play in a series of country bands and at one point was playing guitar for a travelling hair tonic show.
