Thank You was a Baltimore-based No Wave and Post-Punk inspired trio made up of Michael Bouyoucas (vocals,organs, guitars), Jeffrey McGrath (guitars) and Emmanuel Nicolaidis (drums, vocals). Former members include Elke Wardlaw (drums). Thank You have released two full-lengths, World City (Wildfire Wildfire, 2007) and Terrible Two (Thrill Jockey, 2008), and have opened for Battles and Ariel Pink. The Unthanks is an English folk group from Northumberland, known for an eclectic approach in combining traditional English folk with other musical genres. Featuring siblings Rachel Unthank and Becky Unthank, the group was, from 2004 to 2009, initially known as Rachel Unthank & The Winterset. The name changed in the summer of 2009 with the lineup. Thanksgiving is the work of Pacific Northwest musician Adrian Orange who since his teen years has been recording and performing within the Phil Elverum, Kyle Field, Calvin Johnson social circle. His voice, a delicate unsure weeping call, sings existential songs which, on later albums, emphasize percussion. Earlier works emphasized simple guitar and (sometimes goofy) songwriting.
