The Spaghetti Western String Co. (SWSCo.), an acoustic trio from Minneapolis, featuring Michael Rossetto (banjo/guitar), Nicholas Lemme (mandolin/guitar/voice), and Ethan Sutton (cello), has it’s roots in the winter of 2003. It was during this time that Michael enlisted the help of Denise, Nicholas, and a host of others, to record 'Do Right By People.' The Spaghetti Western Orchestra, formerly the Ennio Morricone Experience, are a quintet, formed in Australia, of musicians who perform music from spaghetti westerns, especially the music of Ennio Morricone. They have appeared at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2007 and at the Edinburgh Fringe and tour with a show in which they re-enact the music and scenes of famous spaghetti westerns using a variety of unusual and sometimes improvised musical instruments. Eddie Spaghetti has been the ringleader of the Supersuckers since 1988. But with the band’s creation of their own conglomerate (Mid Fi Recordings) in 2002, Spaghetti also found time for a tidy, good-timin’ solo career. Sauce appeared in 2004; it featured covers of outlaw country favorites from Kristofferson and Cash as well as a few Spaghetti originals. The Supersuckers were still a band during Eddie’s dalliance — they released a few live records and even toured with Pearl Jam. Spaghetti Vabune! is a Japanese pop band based in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. They have been active since 2001 and have released two studio albums along with several EPs. Their guitar-driven indie pop music takes inspiration from the Shibuya-kei scene of the early 1990s, notably Flipper's Guitar (whose song Cool Spy on a Hot Car they covered for a tribute project to the band, as well as Western Twee and Jangle pop bands.
