Jimmy Sommers was first smitten with the saxophone when he was still a grade school student in his native area of Chicago. "The sax just seemed so cool" says Sommers recollecting on those days. His affinity and aptitude for the sax progressed to a point where he has become one of the hottest names on the world's smooth jazz circuit. His new album "Sunset Collective" continues Sommers' path of bringing a little hipness and edge to the smooth jazz world. Klaus Hallen is probably best known for his tribute CDs, where the music of a popular artist like Barbra Striesand or Frank Sinatra is featured on a CD. Unlike some dance CDs which use the version by the original artist Klaus Hallen's orchestra plays the piece of music in strict-time accompanied by the vocals of an impersonator. The quality of the vocals is not only excellent but often surprising, in it's ability to so closely match the original artist. .
