Jahn Teigen (Born Sep. 27th, 1949, Tønsberg, Norway). Teigen started his career already in the late 1960s, when he released a few singles and one album with Enemies. However, his commercial break-through didn't come until the early seventies as the lead singer of the six member rock band Popol Vuh. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, in 1978, 1982 and 1983 respectively, and is one of Norways most dear artist in modern times. Clear-voiced female singer. Attended Greenville College in Illinois. Winner, Gospel Music Week Spotlight Competition, 1995. Played Cornerstone Festival in 1996. St. Louis FM progressive rock station 105.7 once included her composition "Crucible" in an annual compilation of unsigned local bands. Released album "Sparkle" in 1997 with Warner Alliance*, produced by Glenn Rosenstein (Ziggy Marley, Joe Saville, Michelle Shocked). *(now Rhino/Warner Bros., apparently, as the "Warner Alliance" label was discontinued in 1998) .
