Группа сформировалась в феврале 2006 года в Ноксвилле, в её состав вошли Фил Бозман, Брэндон Кейгл и Бен Савадж. Название своей группы музыканты выбрали в честь района Whitechapel в городе Лондон, прославившегося благодаря убийствам известного серийного убийцы Джека Потрошителя.

Fred Chapellier born June 4, 1966 in Metz , began playing the guitar in 1981 . After a few years of training, he began to turn with his first blues band "Kashmir" (1992 to 1997) before forming the group "Men in Blue" with Big Joe Barret. But Fred feels the need to give expression freely to his music, thus in 1999 he decided to form his final group "Fred Chapellier Blues Band".
