Coconut Records is the name of Jason Schwartzman's band based in Los Angeles, California. Jason Schwartzman (the former Phantom Planet drummer) started Coconut Records in 2006. This album is also his debut album for his record label, Young Baby Records. Schwartzman is the sole songwriter for all the songs in his debut album, Nighttiming, in addition to playing all of the instruments on the record. .

Uwe Schmidt (aka Señor Coconut; born in Frankfurt, Germany) is a German DJ and producer of electronic music.
