2 Unlimited foi um grupo de Eurodance e Techno formado em 1991 pelos produtores belgas Jean Paul de Coster e Phil Wilde e pelos vocalistas holandeses Ray Slijngaard e Anita Doth. O grupo começou quando os dois produtores belgas queriam criar uma canção (mais tarde, "Get ready for this") e designaram Ray para criar um demo. Desse demo, Ray criou uma letra no estilo rap, e refrão de vocal feminino. Para tal, Ray convidou Anita, que trabalhava na parte administrativa da polícia de Amsterdã. Ambos gravaram o demo num estúdio local, para depois, apresentar aos produtores, que ficaram muito satisfeitos....

Bathtub Shitter is a Japanese extreme metal and grindcore band with elements of punk rock, formed in 1996. The lyrical content includes many references to nature conservation, politics and shit. Thomas Mapfumo was born in 1945 in Marondera, Zimbabwe. He sang with various bands including The Zutu Brothers, Hallelujah Chicken Run Band and the Acid Band before forming The Blacks Unlimited when he and Jonah Sithole merged their bands in 1977. The band developed a style called chimurenga music, meaning "(revolutionary) struggle" - a highly politicised electrification of traditional Shona mbira music, with lyrics railing against the colonial government in Rhodesia and, later, against Mugabe. Mapfumo now lives in exile in the United States. .
