Polysics é uma banda japonesa de new-wave/synthpop de Tóquio, iniciada em 1997. Lembra muito Devo e Sigue Sigue Sputnik, fazendo uma mistura de punk com pop — óbvio — com pitadas de eletrônica. Com letras em japonês, inglês e gibberish (linguagem incompreensível), são extremamente energéticos em suas perfomances ao vivo. .

There is more than one band named Poloyphony. 1 - The more well known Polyphony was formed by Stephen Layton in 1986 for a concert in King's College Chapel, Cambridge. Since then the choir has performed and recorded regularly to wide critical acclaim throughout the UK and abroad. For the last few years Polyphony has given annual sell-out performances of Bach's "St. John Passion" and Handel's "Messiah" at St. John's, Smith Square. From the Republic of Benin, West Africa, T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo is one of Africa’s least-known big-bands outside of their home country. Here, it’s hoped to redress the balance with a collection that reflects their many poly-rhythmic moods. A mixture of hard Afro-Funk, driving Afrobeat, deep Afro-Latin and Cuban grooves all with a unique flavor that ruled the dance-floors of 70’s urban Benin. .

Polyphonic Size has never been a real band, but Roger-Marc Vande Voorde's project. Born in Charleroi (Belgium) in 1959, the young teenager Roger-Marc spent some time in Germany, near Cologne. Being a true Rolling Stones fan, he started to learn guitar and began to play in small local bands : Berk, Reynolds, Magnetix and mostly Melody. Some live tapes still exist, recorded late 76, early 77, with an overexcited Roger-Marc singing 1960's/70's classics : Get Back, Jumping Jack Flash, Walk On the Wild Side, Gloria .
