Sua família sempre foi rodeada pelo mundo da musica e desde pequeno Yohio despertou esse interesse pela musica. Ele nasceu em Sundsvall, Suécia, fala japonês, depois de receber um interesse pela cultura japonesa e do visual kei em uma idade jovem, e também por passar um bom tempo no Japão em suas sete viagens para o país fazendo shows.
