The Oakland Faders are a collective of DJs formed by DJ Spair and DJ Platurn in Oakland, California. Nowadays Spair, while still officially a Fader, lives in Las Vegas where he DJs at clubs, hotels and parties. In Oakland, DJ Platurn has expanded the Oakland Faders with Joe Quixx, DJ Zeph, DJ Enki, DJ Mere, and Ammbush. .

Will Oakland (January 15, 1880–May 15, 1956) was an American Countertenor famed for his exceptionally high vocal range. He was born Herman Hinrichs in Jersey City, New Jersey, to German-American immigrant parents. Oakland began his musical career after leaving the United States Army in 1905, joining Lew Dockstader's minstrels in Rochester, New York. He began recording for Edison Records in 1908, soon after Richard Jose's retirement. In addition to appearing as a solo performer, Oakland recorded duets with Billy Murray, sometimes singing the female part in love songs. "Faders" consist of the two talented psytrance producers Or Kopel [aka. Mixed Emotions] and Nati Asraf [aka. System Failure]. Both come from Beer-Sheva, south Israel. The Faders were a British three-piece female rock band with a punk image. The group formed in early 2004 and released their debut single in March 2005, "No Sleep Tonight" (also known as "No Sleep 2nite"), which charted at #13 in the official UK music charts. The lead singer of the band, Molly Lorenne (real name Molly Ure) was born on 7 March 1987. Her father is Midge Ure of Thin Lizzy and Ultravox fame.
