Drone/noise/feedback duo originally based in Leeds, composed of Luke Younger (Helm), who moved to London, & Steven Warwick (Heatsick), now resident in Berlin. Were previously a trio including Richard Lawson. .
DJ Delay has spun at over 1500 gigs around the world on radio (inc 13 years on PBSFM), clubs, parties, festivals, bars, (パチンコ) pachinko parlours, and many varying events since 1989. Delay is now resident in Berlin.
DJ Delay has presented in excess of 700 radio shows in 5 countries since 1989. He's also interviewed hundreds of artists ranging from John Giorno to Buju Banton. He specialises in Dub, Balkan, Jungle, Experimental, Kooky Techno, Downbeat, Breaks, Electronic & Indian Classical.

Jan Delay frequentou o ensino bilingue Helene-Lange, em Hamburgo, desde 1986, graduando em 1995.
Na década de 1990, Jan Delay era mais conhecido por ser um terço do alemão hip hop pioneiros Iniciante (ex-Principiante Absoluto), atualmente ele é um bom artista solo e ingressou na sideproject "La Boom", juntamente com o compositor e produtor alemão Tropf. Seu nome deriva de um artista trocadilho irónico sobre um acto a partir da música pop dos anos 90 ( "Young Deenay") e inclui uma dica para um efeito importante na música reggae e dancehall, o atraso / echo.
