Old Funeral was a black/death metal band from Bergen, Norway. Old Funeral was one of the first bands to form in the Norwegian extreme metal scene, getting its start in 1988. By 1992 the band had already dissolved, but since some of the former band members (such as Abbath and Demonaz of Immortal, and Varg Vikernes of Burzum) are now quite famous, Old Funeral has also gained recognition.[1] Among their influences were Carcass (UK) and Morbid Angel (US). .
CASUALLY DRESSED released their EP "Trial & Execution" in 2012 and since have been touring all over the mainland in the last 12 months and have shared stages with the likes of The Flatliners, Set Your Goals, Nothington and The Menzingers, which gives a good representation of the hard-edged emo/post-hardcore landscape these guys inhabit. The Boy Hairdressers were the indie band that Norman Blake formed after he left The Pretty Flowers, but before he joined BMX Bandits or formed Teenage Fanclub with fellow Boy Hairdressers member Raymond McGinley. Other members of The Boy Hairdressers included Jim Lambie (now a successful visual artist) and Paul Quinn (later the singer for Bourgie Bourgie). .
The Gothenburg Address are David 'Jeansy' Jeans (drums), Rob Doig (bass), Chris Bathgate (guitar) and Luke Joyce (guitar). The band formed in June 2008 after Rob replied to a musicians wanted ad put out by Luke. Rob and Jeansy, who were in another local band, were both looking for something fresh to reignite their musical fires, and so The Gothenburg Address was born.
