The Fab Faux, formed 1998 in New York City, are a tribute band that covers The Beatles. In addition to covering earlier, guitar-based numbers, the Fab Faux are notable for attempting highly accurate live performances of later, more complex Beatles pieces such as "Strawberry Fields Forever", "I Am The Walrus" and "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite". fauxmusica (2005-2010), or ʄ≜uxmuℭica (2011), was an avant-garde noise project initiated by Zane Michael O'Brien in 2005 as a collaborative effort between himself and Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound). The two were never able to agree on a direction of joint artistic collaboration and Bradford quickly left the project to focus soley on his songwriting role in Deerhunter. Faux Jean is a singer/songwriter/song-and-dance man based out of the United States. He was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. Tim Shiel, also known as Faux Pas, is a producer based in Melbourne. Working primarily with virtual instruments, he builds intricate sonic worlds that combine synthetic and organic elements. He is consistently inspired by the "possibilities" of "sound" and the challenge of musically articulating his own "intense emotional trajectories."
