Formada no início dos anos 70 o Armageddon era liderada por Keith Relf, ex-yardbirds, ainda contava com o bateristaBobby Caldwell, ex-Captain Beyond, o guitarrista Martin Pugh vindo do Steamhammer e o baixista Louis Cennamo, ex- Steamhammer/Renaissance.
O Armagedon gravou apenas um album, auto entitulado, lançado em 1975. O som é um hard rock anos 70 com elementos de rock progressivo.
Pouco após o lançamento do album a banda se separou. Um ano depois, em 1976, Keith Relf faleceu ao ser eletrocutado tocando guitarra.
