Øde Vinter is a black metal band out of Champaign, Illinois. We formed on October 24th, 2011 and immediately started writing some crazy material. In late February of 2012, our original guitarist, known as Draugr, quit just over 2 weeks away from our debut show. Torvus then took over on guitar (in addition to vocals), and we managed to have everything down in time for the show, and we have decided to continue as a 2 piece band. We are currently trying to play as many shows as possible, while slowly recording an EP of what we have written so...

Gilbert Vinter (born May 4, 1909, Lincoln; died October 10, 1969, Tintagel) was an English conductor and composer, most celebrated for his compositions for brass bands.
As a youth, Vinter was a chorister at Lincoln Cathedral, and eventually became Head Chorister there. He later became a bassoonist. In 1930, he joined the BBC Military Band, where he did much of his early conducting. It was during that time that he also began to compose.
