Edinburgh based Hard Rock / Metal band, Vantage Point, self released their debut album, Daredevil On The Shore, in 2008 after four years of gigging on the local scene and accumulating original material. The Rural Alberta Advantage gra folkowe kawałki o rockowym brzmieniu. Piosenki, przepełnione obrazami dorastania w środkowej i północnej Albercie, opowiadają o rodzinnych miasteczkach i złamanych sercach. Nostalgiczna tematyka obejmuje również lata w Górach Skalistych i zimy na farmie, łamanie lodu w czasie wiosny i specyficzny urok ropowego szaleństwa, słowem, powolny rozwój miasta - dzikiej róży kraju. W lipcu 2009 zespół wydał debiutancką płytę "Hometowns", która zebrała wyjątkowo pozytywne recenzje. The Rural Alberta Advantage stacjonuje obecnie w Toronto. Jego członkami są Nils Edenloff, Amy Cole oraz Paul Banwatt. .
