HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR powstał na Okinawie. Ich historia rozpoczęła się z MEG i SASSY którzy założyli zespół coverujący Metallicę. Po pewnym czasie, Kazuto, mACKAz oraz Yuusuke dołączyli do nich aby stworzyć nowy zespół o nazwie Anti-nobunaga, który zaczął grać własne kompozycje podczas różnych festiwali.
Anti-nobunaga bardzo szybko stał się popularny na wyspie i w 2003 roku wziął udział w dorocznej imprezie zorganizowanej przez wytwórnię Spice Records, która wypromowała inny miejscowy zespół: Orange Range. Wspaniałe przyjęcie przez fanów pozwoliło im wziąć udział w składankowym albumie Okinawa 2003 w tym samym roku.
