There are at least four bands with this name. 1st. positive melancholic band from Berlin. 2nd. This project is a musical collective series of improvisation, founded by Douglas Dickel (input_output, Blanched), inspired by Joshua Homme’s Desert Sessions. Hotel began in 2006 at the Live Studio, in Porto Alegre, when Dickel brought together musicians from the local indie & post-rock scene. The Black Hotels are an indie rock band from Johannesburg, South Africa. Formed in 2006, their first release, a five-track EP called Beautiful Mornings, made them one of the most critically acclaimed South African indie bands of 2007.
