Casino Shanghai is a techno-pop band founded in the 80's by Ulalume, Carlos Robledo & Walter Schmidt when they worked on a set of tunes for a farewell party of Ulalume at Club 9. They became favorites at Club 9 and were part of a great cultural change in MX and its music scene. Later and Humberto Alvarez joined the band. Casino Shanghai made various controversial appearances on TV when a band without a drummer or guitarist was unheard of.

Established in 1952, Shanghai Traditional Instrument Orchestra, is one of the oldest organized ethnic orchestras in China. The orchestra consists of over 80 outstanding professional performers, including musical directors, soloists, and vocalists. Some of the reputable members include Yude Sun, Chunling Lu, Ziqian Zhang, Zuying Xiang, Weifeng Ming, Baiyong Xiao, Sunfa Yu, Changyuan Wang, Liangxing Tang and Yi Gong.
