There are five artists with this name:
1) Guardian was formed in 1982 by bassist David Bach, vocalist Paul Cawley, and and drummer, Rikk Hart. They originally named themselves "Fusion" and added David Caro on guitars. They were signed to Enigma records in 1985 and changed their name to Gardian, soon after replaced Caro with Tony Palacios on guitar. They released two demos under the Gardian name called Fusion (released 1984) and Voyager (released 1987). Guardians is a five-piece group who formed in 2009 only as an afterthought. Recently they have been making their mark on Madison, Wisconsin where the band calls home. Having a strong passion and respect for making music, the band is striving harder each day to accomplish their goals of covering any possible mass of land, reaching any ears which will listen and allowing their band to function as not only the output of their blood, sweat and tears, but also their ever-growing business.

Blind Guardian - zespół muzyczny założony w Krefeld w Niemczech w 1985. Wraz z zespołem Helloween uważany za protoplastę power metalu. Grupa początkowo występowała pod nazwą Lucifer's Heritage oraz przez kilka dni pod nazwami takimi jak: Battery i Raging Waters.
Teksty utworów grupy w ogromnej większości inspirowane są baśniowym światem fantasy, czego przykładem jest album pt. Nightfall in Middle-Earth, będąca w całości muzyczną interpretacją "Silmarillionu" J.R.R. Tolkiena. Tematyka utworów obejmuje również tematy religii (np. 'The Martyr').
