The Pettyfords were formed in the summer of 1996 by Roy Murakami, Cavan Nohara and Jeremy Rhode. Three bored high school kids with a passion for the same thing: Pop punk music. Countless hours were spent in drummer, Roy Murakami's, living room trying to fine tune some songs before the school year began. Lucky for the Pettyfords, Roy's parents were kind enough to let them practice there just as long as we cleaned the place up after we were finished. The band started out playing Screeching Weasel and Scared Of Chaka covers before diving into the depths of "ORIGINAL MUSIC"....

1. Pettybone, a 5-piece Rock/ Metal band hailing from Greenock, Scotland, were formed in 2002. They have a vast back catalogue of demo’s and have released 3 official EP’s, “Singularity” on 12th July 2010, “Continuum” on 15th January 2011 and “Eventuality” on 5th December 2011. All EP’s were available from iTunes, Spotify, AmazonMP3 and Bandcamp. Pettybone are expecting the release of their full length album...
A group signed with Kranky and The Riley Bushman Recordings & Archives, 'To Kill A Petty Bourgeoisie' is an independent slow machine driven electronic outfit from Minneapolis, Minnesota consisting of Jehna Wilhelm and Mark McGee who mix, with great effect, melody and noise.
Mark McGee also has another project called Father You See Queen. .
Tom Petty ur. 20 października 1950 r. zm. 2 października 2017 r. od młodości zainteresowany był muzyką rockową. Szczególnie bliska była mu muzyka folk rockowa i southern rockowa. Największy wpływ na niego wywierali Bob Dylan oraz popularna w latach sześćdziesiątych grupa The Byrds. Gdy Petty zaczął uczyć się gry na gitarze i śpiewać, za wzór wziął sobie brzmienie Davida Crosby. Po pewnym czasie doszedł do takiej perfekcji, iż niemal wiernie naśladował brzmienie jego głosu i gitary. Choć później wypracował bardziej osobisty charakter muzyczny, wpływy tamtej muzyki były łatwo zauważalne. W połowie lat sześćdziesiątych Tom Petty porzucił naukę, nie ukończywszy szkoły...
