Loudon Snowden Wainwright III (urodzony 5 września 1946 roku) to amerykański kompozytor, muzyk folkowy, komik i aktor. Ojciec Rufusa Wainwrighta i Marthy Wainwright z małżeństwa z kanadyjską kompozytorką i piosenkarką Kate McGarrigle oraz Lucy Roche z piosenkarką Suzzy Roche (z The Roches) i Lexie Kelly. Najbardziej znany jest z utworu nagranego w 1972 roku pt. "Dead Skunk (in the Middle of the Road)" oraz z roli Kapitana Spaldinga ("śpiewającego chirurga") w telewizyjnym serialu MASH.
