Alvin and the Chipmunks is a five-time Grammy Award-winning animated music group, created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. in 1958. Everything began at the end... after meltdown of the !T.O.O.H.! gang, Wokis (guitar) and Freedom (bassace) formed a cooperation with a clear objective: to continue to craft music in a more modest outfit to satisfy themselves (predominantly) and others. They began their work on new material immediately. As the formulaic three-chord songwriting scheme was not in their minds, the compositions grew in intensity, and the incubation time needed to spawn these musical pieces proved longer than anyone could have imagined. But nothing could stop the progress and by the darkness of Christmas time, it was to record a first opus....
Hunka Munka published in 1972 their one and only album. The band consisted of Roberto Carlotto (hammond organ, mellotron, vocals), Ivan Graziani (guitar, bass) and Cucioletto (drums). .
De Munk was chosen at 12 years old, to play the main role in the movie "Ciske de Rat" (Ciske the Rat, 1984). De Munk sang the title song "Ik voel me zo verdomd alleen" (I feel so damn lonely), which became a number one hit in The Netherlands. Danny de Munk made more music until he had another Top 40 hit in 1991: the title song of a popular Dutch comedy "Vrienden voor het Leven" (friends for life).
