Ancient Rites is a Belgian black metal (old) / folk metal (recent) band formed in 1988. Initially, the line- up consisted of guitar players Johan and Phillip, drummer Stefan, and Gunther Theys on bass and vocals. The four core members of Suns of the Tundra are Simon Oakes, Andrew Prestidge, Andy Marlow and Mark Moloney. Suns of the Tundra are a recent incarnation of the early 90s prog-tinged hard rock band Peach, playing in the vein of 90s-era Tool.
