1986年、ニューヨーク州バッファローで結成。1987年にインディーズデビュー。1993年、ワーナーからメジャーデビュー。インディーズ時代から知る人ぞ知る実力派バンドとして人気を獲得していた事から「アメリカで最も有名な無名バンド」のコピーが付けられていたが、1995年にマイクが加入し現在のラインアップとなり、「ネーム（Name）」（『A Boy Named Goo』収録）のヒットで一躍有名になる。1998年には「アイリス（Iris）」（『Dizzy Up The Girl』収録）が映画『シティ・オブ・エンジェル』の主題歌に起用されヒット。2006年に結成20周年を迎え、現在も精力的に活動を続けている。サマーソニック2007に出演。
また、2007年には映画『トランスフォーマー』において、劇中の主人公をイメージした挿入曲「Before It's Too Late」を手掛ける。
初期はパンク・ロックに近いサウンドであったが、メジャーデビュー以降、徐々にオルタナティヴ・ロックに近いサウンドへと変化していく。曲によってジョン、ロビーそれぞれがリードボーカルを務めている。 .

Crazy Dolls is an alternative, synthpop and pop rock duo from Rīga, Latvia formed as electronic and punk rock trio around 1995 and during time have changed their musical flow.
They have released two full length albums till split up in 2000. Latest of them LP Sveiciens published on Mapls in 2001 includes song Milžu cīņa of legendary Latvian band Dzeltenie Pastnieki. Some previous tracks are also included in local independent compilations.
In January 2010 they announced their reunite.

Career Suicide have made a name for themselves playing purist hardcore punk influenced by the genre's pioneers as well as drawing heavily on influences spanning first wave punk and savage 60's garage from North America and the UK. Guitarist Jonah Falco also plays drums in Fucked Up and is a one-man band called Mad Men.
