fDeluxe is The Family renamed. The Family was a protege band formed by Prince after the break-up of The Time once Purple Rain ended. (Actually, by the time the movie hit theaters, The Time had long since disbanded.) Goûts de Luxe was a French group from Brest, founded by Jacques le Honsec (1963) and Jean-Éric Montfort. The name of the group was found during a Chanel parade. Jacques Honsec's employment in the record industry allowed him to meet producers in Paris. Thus, a contract was signed. But while recording the first single, "Les Yeux de Laura", Jean-Éric Montfort was unable to record the parts played on guitar. A studio musician, Kamil Rustam, did it. Ducks Deluxe were an English pub rock band of the 1970s. Usually called "The Ducks" by their fans, they were known in the 70s for their up-tempo, energetic performances. Formed in London in February 1972 by Martin Belmont (guitar), Sean Tyla (guitar), Ken Whaley (bass) and Michael Cousins (known as Magic Michael) on percussion, they split after playing a gig at the 100 Club in London on July 1, 1975.
