There are two bands with the name ELEFANTE and one with the name Elephante that redirects here for some reason. One is from Uruguay and the other is from Mexico. (Uruguayan) Elefante was one of Uruguay's leading rock bands in the 90's, formed in Montevideo. Pata was the self-titled solo project of X Japan's guitarist. He released two albums: "Pata" (1993) and "Raised On Rock" (1995). The most of the tracks were instrumental. Vocal lines for the songs were performed by James Christian. Pata's music style sounded like hardrock with some blues elements. After the dissolution of X JAPAN in 1997 Pata formed his own project named P.A.F. Since 2000 he played in another japanese band called Dope HEADz till 2003.
