1- Chapel is a Canadian black/speed metal band that formed in 2008. They released a 6 track demo in 2008 and one full length, Satan's Rock'n'Roll, in 2012.
2- Chapel was Kannus-based (Finland) trio, with influences like Rush, Deep Purple, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, etc. The band was active during 1986-1995.

2006年2月、フィル・ボーズマン、ブランドン・ケイグル、ベン・サヴェッジによってテネシー州はノックスヴィルにてこのWHITECHAPELは結成された。
2006年年初め、バンドは彼等のMySpace用に作った6曲入りのデモを書き上げる。2006年11月には、それがきっかけでSiege Of Amida Recordsの興味を引き、ヨーロッパとアメリカではCANDLELIGHT RECORDSの流通を獲得。同月には新しいドラマー、ケヴィン・レーンも加入し、更にプロフェッショナル且つテクニカルなバンドへと進化していく。 しかし2007年5月ブランドン・ケイグルが脱退するものの、すぐにザック・ハウスホルダーが加入。そして現在のラインナップが完成した。
Whitechapelの音楽はCandlelightとS.O.A.R(Siege Of Amida Records)からリリースされたデビュー･アルバム、「The Somatic Defilement」の時点で輝きを放っていた。この作品は聴くものの耳を破壊し、ワールド・ワイドなメタルシーンにようやく解き放たれた作品として評価された。そしてバンドはこれまで以上のツアーをこなしていく。DARKEST HOUR、THE RED CHORD、CEPHALIC CARNAGE、THE DEVIL WEARS THE PRADAといったバンドと共演し、2007年、ニュージャージーで行われた"Saints And Sinners Festival"にも出演。今年の6月にはSUMMER SALUGHTER TOURと銘打ったTHE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER、CRYPTOPSY、DYING FETUSらと回る予定になっている。
WHITECHAPELは印象的かつグルーヴィなリフとブレイクダウン、トレモロ・ピッキングを効果的に用いた音楽性で、今日のごった返したメタル・シーンで突出した存在になるには十分すぎる可能性を秘めている。
METAL MANIACS誌は彼等の独得なアプローチを、「彼等の特徴は、その3人のギターによる攻撃だ。間違いなく印象に強く残る破滅的なサウンド。DIYな姿勢に突き動かされ、WHITECHAPELはそのハードワークと自らの決心で、バンドとして成長し続ける力をコントロールしているのだ」と解説している。

Fred Chapellier born June 4, 1966 in Metz , began playing the guitar in 1981 . After a few years of training, he began to turn with his first blues band "Kashmir" (1992 to 1997) before forming the group "Men in Blue" with Big Joe Barret. But Fred feels the need to give expression freely to his music, thus in 1999 he decided to form his final group "Fred Chapellier Blues Band".
