GRAPEVINE（グレイプバイン）は、ボーカル・田中和将、ギター・西川弘剛、ドラムス・亀井亨の3人からなる日本のロックバンドである。1993年結成。レコード会社はポニーキャニオン。 概要 田中による文学的な歌詞、3人のメロディーメーカーによる曲、また力強いライブで固定ファンを惹きつけるロックバンド。バンド名の由来はMarvin Gayeの"I Heard It Through The Grapevine"から。直訳すると「葡萄のつる」、転じて「よくない噂」という意味も込められている。 音楽性 ボーカルの田中の書く歌詞はデビュー当時から「非常に奥行きがあり、深読みしていけば尽きる事がない文学性を持つ」とメディアから絶賛されているが当の本人は「ストレートに書くと恥ずかしいからちょっと捻ってるだけ」と語っている(過去のROCKIN'ON JAPANインタビューより)。 また、デビュー時期などの点においてTRICERATOPSと疑似しているといわれる。特に初期は、田中と和田の歌声が今よりも似ており、ブレイクした時期も近かったために、混同されることも多かった。なお、(偶然だと思われるが、)ユニコーン・トリビュートでTRICERATOPS(M-3「ヒゲとボイン」)の次の曲がGRAPEVINE(M-4「ニッポンへ行くの巻」)である。 来歴 1993年、西原誠、西川弘剛らにより大阪で結成。同年に田中和将、翌1994年に亀井亨が加入し、大阪を拠点に精力的に活動を行う。 1997年に東京へ進出、ミニアルバム『覚醒』でデビュー。1999年、3rdシングル「スロウ」でブレイク。同年5月に発表した2ndフルアルバム『Lifetime』では、オリコン初登場3位を獲得。 2001年、結成当時からのリーダーである西原誠が、ジストニア治療に専念するためバンドを一時離脱。翌2002年に復帰するが、同年内をもって脱退。これまでにシングル20枚とオリジナルアルバム8枚を発表、2007年にメジャーデビュー10周年を迎えた。 メンバー 田中和将（たなか かずまさ、1974年1月15日-）ボーカル、ギター、作詞、作曲。兵庫県神戸市出身。O型。FTK&Kでもボーカル、ギター担当。 西川弘剛（にしかわ ひろよし、1969年11月14日-）ギター、作曲。奈良県出身。O型。 亀井亨（かめい とおる、1972年8月2日-）ドラム、作曲。大阪府出身。O型。 サポートメンバー 金戸覚（かねと　さとる、1966年8月25日- ）ベース。愛媛県出身。A型。元WILLIES APPLE、元JOHN BRIEF、FTK&K。 高野勲（たかの　いさお、1969年3月5日-）キーボード。北海道出身。元benzo。 元メンバー 西原誠 （にしはら　まこと、1969年8月21日-）ベース、作詞、作曲。広島県出身。B型。 THE LATERS。2002年12月1日脱退。 .

Old Funeral formed in 1989 with members who later/already started infamous black metal bands such as Immortal and Burzum, and dissolved by 1992.
