Edmundo William Ros OBE (7 December 1910 – 21 October 2011) was a Trinidadian musician, vocalist, arranger and bandleader who made his career in Britain. He directed a highly popular Latin American orchestra, had an extensive recording career and owned one of London's leading nightclubs. Ros was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Dos Mundos is a con amore project from singer Trine-Lise Væring and saxophone player and composer/arranger Fredrik Lundin. Their infatuation with Argentinian folk singer Mercedes Sosa and her renditions of Argentinian folk music, led them to put this band together, and Fredrik to arrange a row of songs made famous by Sosa, as well as one Flamenco ballad (as sung by camaron de la Isla), and a few originals.
