スウェーデン出身のメロディックパンクバンド。 ノーファン、サーファーズ、ランディらと肩を並べる北欧を代表するバンド。 メンバーはもともとスケボー仲間でもあったニコラ(vo,b)、エリック(g)、マティアス(g)、ラーゾン(ds)の4人組。 バンド名もスケボーの技のMELANCHOLYからきている。 スウェーデンはかなり個性的なバンドが多いが、このミレンコリンはパンクが基調ながらも独特の哀愁漂うメロディとボーカルがかっこいいバンド。 さらにスカやバラードなど種々の要素を取り入れ型にはまらないロックを体現している数少ないバンドのひとつと言える。 日本が好きそうに見えてあまり来日しない。 .
Heartsdales were a self-producing J-Urban group, composed of two sisters Yumi Sugiyama (杉山ユミ) and Emi Sugiyama (杉山エミ), known by their stage names Rum and Jewels, respectively. Jeff Dale was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and was taught how to play the blues by two itinerant blues musicians from the west side when he was 13 years old. Colin Ivor Moulding (born 17 August 1955, Swindon, Wiltshire, England) is an English bassist, songwriter and vocalist. He is a founding member of the band XTC. Though less prolific than bandmate Andy Partridge, Moulding wrote many of the group's most popular songs, including their first three UK hit singles: "Life Begins At The Hop", "Making Plans For Nigel", and "Generals and Majors".
