Mychael Danna (born September 20, 1958) is a Canadian film composer. Danna has been scoring films since his 1987 feature debut for Atom Egoyan's Family Viewing, a score which earned Danna the first of his eleven Canadian Film Award nominations. Mychael is recognized as one of the pioneers of combining non-Western sound sources with orchestral and electronic minimalism in the world of film music. Dânnâgôischd is an Alpine folk project founded in 2008 by Christoph "Waldwuudz" Ziegler (Vinterriket). Dânnâgôischd comes from the middle of the Swabian forests and tells about creatures from the woods, with all its legends, myths and sentiments. The listener, however, may feel always surrounded by mysterious forest sounds, such as rustling trees, wild animals, fire crackles and ghosts. Debut album "Emm dichdâ Ondrholz" was released in 2009.
