Instigators were a hardcore punk band from West Yorkshire, England. They released a demo tape in 1983, a live in Leeds cassette tape soon followed, and the following year they released the EP 'The Blood is on Your Hands' on Bluurg records. The 1985 release 'Nobody Listens Anymore LP' increased their popularity, securing them a spot on Pushead's 'Cleanse the Bacteria' compilation LP. .
The Instigators were an English anarcho punk band who were around from around 1982 - 1990. Their 1st seven inch ep and LP came out on the Subhumans Bluurg label in 1983 and 1984. They also appeared on a few Pax records compilations around this time also. The original singer left just after the 1st album was released and he was replaced by the singer of the Xpozez. This line up went on to record a few more 7"s and LPs and toured all over the UK and Europe. .
Jake Setlak (pictured above, listening at United Nations HQ) is Instigator. He released "Used Materials" in 2002. As well as the companion "Reduced Materials" in 2008. Plus assorted soundtracks, remixes and mash-ups over the years, as highlighted at noisethrong.com He is not the shaven-headed dj who started going by the same "Instigator" name in 2004 (mistakenly associated with this profile due to some confusion at last.fm). .
