Ex Norwegian is an indie rock band who formed in Miami Beach, FL in 2008. The band name is a Monty Python reference, and its current line-up consists of Roger Houdaille (vocals and bass guitar), Lucas Queiroz (guitar and vocals), Michelle Grand (vocals) and Alex Ibanez (drums). Previous band members include Nina Souto (bass and vocals) and Arturo Garcia (drums). Ex Norwegian launched at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City 2008 mere months after their formation, and released two singles: the irresistible Shins-styled folk-pop “Something Unreal” and the 7” vinyl release “Dance Trance Pants” which falls neatly somewhere...
The Norwegian Wind Ensemble is by wide margin Norway´s oldest orchestral institution, and thus one of the world´s oldest in continuous operation. As an example, Lloyd´s List, arguably the world´s first newspaper, was founded in that same year; 1734. (Our early history can actually be traced all the way back to the early 1600s…). Peter Bull (b. 1984) is the name behind the act Norwegian Recycling. He was born in Aalesund, Norway, and now lives and studies in Byron Bay, Australia.
