Davi Moraes is a great musician from Bahia, rooted in the afro-funk music style. Son of a great brazilian musician, Moraes Moreira, he learn to play his first instrument when he was only 5 years old, when his father gave to him a 'cavaquinho'. Wilson Moreira was born in the neighborhood of Realengo, in Rio de Janeiro. As a teenager he was associated with the samba school Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, where he won two samba-enredo contests in 1962 and 1963. Marcus Vinícius da Cruz de Mello Moraes (Rio de Janeiro, 19 ottobre 1913 – 9 luglio 1980) fu un poeta, cantante, compositore, drammaturgo e diplomatico brasiliano, noto più semplicemente come Vinícius de Moraes.
