Julieta Venegas Percevault (Longbeach, California, Stati Uniti d'America - 24 novembre 1970) è una popolare cantante messicana. Negli ultimi anni della sua relativamente lunga carriera musicale, è riuscita ad affermarsi come una delle più conosciute ed apprezzate cantautrici pop/rock latinoamericane. Nata negli Stati Uniti, ha però vissuto tutta la sua infanzia a Tijuana, nella Bassa California in Messico. Casablancas' musical influences are varied and wide ranging, including but not limited to The Velvet Underground, The Pogues, Bob Marley, Built to Spill, Guided by Voices, The Magnetic Fields, and The Doors. One of Julian Casablancas' (as well as other members of the band) main influence for starting a band was Nirvana.
