Born on the island of St. Croix, Batch became inspired by music at a very early age. With exposure to musical Batchequipment and records he developed an interest in music. As a teen he began playing drums and became exposed to other musical instruments at a church. After completing school, Batch played professional gigs as a drummer first with Danny Tucker, a vintage roots singer out of Jamaica, then moving on as lead vocalist and drummer helping to form the reggae band Motion, along with brothers Eddie 'I-DE' and Reggie 'I-GE' Beazer in the city of Boston. Erik and Johan met in Gothenburg in 2006. They were both looking for a musical partner and found each other through Myspace. They met up for some beers and had alot to talk about. They decided to try to write a song together and after a few hours they came up with the song Nothing to say, wich eventually ended up on the Testosterone album. Tulivu-Donna Lynn Cumberbatch, daughter of Harold Cumberbatch (the baritone saxophone player), is a jazz singer from Brooklyn, and has been compared to Bessie Smith, Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughn, Gloria Lynn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, and Aretha Franklin in terms of her singing ability. Her African name "Tulivu" translates from Swahili loosely to "beautiful," and her English name, "Donna Lynn" is derived from "Donna Lee," the jazz piece made popular by Charlie Parker.
