Revolution Void is the electronic-jazz music project of 24-year-old DJ and producer Jonah Dempcy. Jonah began Revolution Void back in 1996 at the age of 12. The initial sound of Revolution Void was funky breaks and bigbeat, influenced by The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Fatboy Slim. Revolution Void had a somewhat more lo-fi aesthetic than these artists, however, due in large part to the fact that Jonah produced music using MOD programs such as FastTracker2. Formed in 1997, skin contact grew out of founder Kevin Breidenbach's interest in both electronic music & computers. Early works were influenced heavily by the EBM & industrial dance music of the 90's, as well as other forms of electronic music. Over time, the sound of SC has evolved to include elements of IDM, drum & bass, noise, and rhythmic industrial music to form a unique blend of dark electronics.
