Shinobu Sato (born June 5, 1955), is a Japanese classical artist. Shinobu debuted in 1988 with the tape Red Dragonfly: World Music on Guitar, which was released on audio CD in 1992. His second major album, Little Signs of Autumn was released on audio CD in 1994. Shinobu was born in Kobe, Japan, and began playing the acoustic guitar at the age of 13. He emigrated to the United States in 1979[1] after meeting his future wife Katherine Larson. Shinobu Nemoto is an experimental musician and artist residing in Japan. He owns and operates the Moufu-Rokuon label imprint and his primary instrument is the guitar. He has released music under the monikers Summons Of Shining Ruins and Dark Side Of The Audio System as well as his own name, and he has collaborated with several other artists, including Jason Adams, Brian Grainger, VCV and Danielle Demos. He was a member of a band called Josef K before releasing solo work. .
