Rogério Skylab is a singer/composer born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, mostly known for his crude, freaky lyrics over complex and neatly performed melodies. He started his career in the 1980s as part of a punk rock band called “Setembro Negro” (Black September), and went solo by the 1990s. His popularity began to be noticed by 1992 when he released his first solo album, “Fora da Grei”, very well-received by the critics, and considered one of the 10 best releases of its time; however, it really skyrocketed only in 1999, with the release of “Skylab”, and also making several appearances...
Rogerio Duprat (7 February 1932 - 26 October 2006) was a Brazilian composer and musician. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Duprat spent much of his life in São Paulo, where he died. It was there in the early 1960s that he developed an interest in the avant-garde art and music that would soon lead to him studying in Europe with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Pierre Boulez.
