Hailing from the West side of Auckland, New Zealand, this 3 piece pop-punk band have been through the ups and downs of what it's like to be in the New Zealand music industry. It all began in 2002 when Joel Little (guitarist, lead vocals) and Jaden Parkes (drummer, backing vocals) were in high school together and decided to form a band. Born in Montana, in the fall of 2006, Goodnight Sunrise went straight to work in the winter of 2007, to write and record their self-produced, debut EP "Close & Counting." As high school receded from the present to the past, "Close & Counting" documents a specifically treasured time. Goodnight or Sleep was formed in early 2004 by Matt Dermond, Mike Filippone, and Zane Kanevsky. The group originally wrote high-energy, pop-infused dance songs which became very popular at the southern New Jersey shows where they often performed. In late 2004, the group released their first EP titled From a Boy in a Hospital Bed to much local success. Goodnight Radio is a project created by Shawn Christensen, this project began due to the struggle and need for a song to fit in one of the most pivotal scenes in his Oscar award winning short film "Curfew," a film that Shawn wrote, directed, and starred in.
