As the lead singer and co-songwriter of Highwater Rising, Aidan has written songs that have been featured in several feature films as well as virtually every major hit TV show including: THE OC, SEX and the CITY, NORTH SHORE, BOSTON PUBLIC, LAGUNA BEACH and ONE TREE HILL. The band's second album, The In Between, was co-produced by multi-platinum producer Eric Valentine (Smash Mouth, Queens of the Stone Age, Persephone's Bees). Light of Aidan came into being when two writers and producers both with a passion for music, in particular chill-out/ambient music, got together to inspire each other and to to try and create a fresh innovative sound. The result is three tracks signed to Chill-out label "Cafe Del Mar" and collaborations with some of the finest singers around. Aidan Baker is a musician and writer from Toronto, Canada, currently based in Berlin, Germany. Classically trained as a flutist, he is self-taught on the guitar, drums & various other instruments. As a prolific solo artist since 1999, his releases have explored the deconstructive sonic possibilities of the electric guitar as a primary sound source, creating music that ranges across genres.
