The Vandals are an American punk rock band formed in 1980 in Huntington Beach, California and currently recording for Kung Fu Records. They have released ten full-length studio albums and two live albums and have toured the world extensively, including performances on the Vans Warped Tour. They are well-known for their use of humor, preferring to use their music as a vehicle for entertainment and sarcasm rather than as a platform for more "serious" issues. The band's lineup fluctuated significantly over their first nine years, though founding members Steven Ronald "Stevo" Jensen, guitarist Jan Nils Ackermann, and first consistent drummer...
Mandalavandalz is a "suomisaundi"-style psychedelic trance project from Finland. It is the solo project of Texas Faggott's Tomo Tomatoeyes (Tim Thick), with and without Halluciano Powerotti (Pentti Slayer). Tim has also been active as a member of Flying Scorpions, Tea Chairs and others. Pentti has founded reggae label Fat Belt Records. They have played across the world - aside from Finland, they have played in Israel, Japan, India, Australia, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and further. On the drums, they have been accompanied by Sean Lissner, Hunter Deacon, Chad Carlisle, Dustin McCormick, and Michael Peery. The group formed when a teacher in charge of the high school Battle of the Bands begrudgingly allowed Buchanan and Dohan to enter, commenting that two girls with guitars could not be a real band....
The Vandalias were presented as a cartoon band consisting of Vandalia brothers JimJim (guitar/vocals), Bobby (bass) and Alan (guitar), but they were actually Minneapolis residents Dan Sarka and Peter Daniel, with lead guitarist Kent Militzer. They released two Power Pop albums on legendary label Big Deal, "Mach V" in 1995 and "Buzz Bomb" in 1998. It was their intention to have an animated television show, but that never got off the ground. Among their influences were the Raspberries, the Beatles and the Who. In 2003, Sarka and Militzer, with their band Stingray Green, released the album "Hard Numbers." .
