THE EIGHTEENTH DAY OF MAY were a six-piece, London based group. Originally formed as an acoustic trio comprising American singer and flautist ALISON BRICE, Swedish-born RICHARD OLSON (acoustic guitar, harmonica and sitar) and Oxfordshire-based guitarist and mandolin player BEN PHILLIPSON; the group's original intention was to combine elements of trad and contemporary folk with a psychedelic "underground" rock sound. EIGHTEEN WHEELS BURNING was formed by bassist/vocalist Jeff Mackey and guitarist Adam Valk after the demise of their band “THE WANT“. Shortly after releasing the stoner rock classic “Greatest hits Vol.5” on the southern lord label in 2000, the band broke up due to “musical differences”. After several attempts to form a new band, EIGHTEEN WHEELS BURNING was unleashed in 2005. Lephtee is a deep house producer from Detroit, Michigan, USA. The child of Ukrainian immigrant parents and the youngest of the first generation to be born in the USA, his music embodies the incongruous influences of the folk and classical music of his youth right through to the pounding kick drums and looping synths of Detroit Techno. His first release for Buzzin' Fly was "So Far Back" (2006) remixed by Phonique as well as The Nova Dream Sequence aka King Britt. 2012 saw the release of Lephtee's remix for Flowers and Sea Creatures. .
Eighteen Visions (sometimes shortened to 18V) was founded in 1996 by James Hart and Ken Floyd (who then played drums), the only members of the original line-up to perform with the band until they disbanded. The band reunited in 2017 with Hart, guitarist Keith Barney, Josh James and Trevor Friedrich. Their debut release was the "Lifeless" EP on Life Sentence Records.
