Jefferson Airplane était un groupe de rock américain, de San Francisco. Un précurseur du mouvement rock psychédélique (musique souvent influencée par la prise de drogue comme le LSD). Le groupe se produisit également sous les noms Jefferson Starship ou plus tard Starship. Jefferson Airplane acquit sa place au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en 1996. Le terme Jefferson airplane est aussi une expression argotique anglo-saxonne désignant l'utilisation d'une allumette usagée pour tenir une "cigarette de marijuana" lorsqu'elle est devenue trop courte pour ne pas se brûler les doigts. Une légende urbaine prétend que c'est l'origine du nom du groupe....

Papermoon may refer to one of several bands. 1.) Papermoon is a Viennese duo, who had a successful career with quiet music (guitar and vocal), during the 1990s, predominantly in Austria. The project was founded in 1991 by Christof Straub (guitar) and Edina Thalhammer (vocals). After their song "Night After Night" received frequent airplay on the Austrian radio station Ö3 in 1992, they signed a recording contract.
