Le groupe se forme sous le nom de «The Farriss Brothers » à Sydney, Australie.
Il est composé d'Andrew Farriss Jon Farriss, Tim Farriss, Michel Hutchence, Kirk Pengilly et Garry Gary Beers.
En 1978, le groupe se déplace de Sydney à Perth, un voyage de 7,000 kilomètres pendant lesquels ils passent 10 mois à écrire et jouer dans les bars, motels et villes de mineurs.
A Sydney, rebaptisé INXS, ils font un début remarqué le 1er septembre 79, à l'Hôtel Oceanview.
Les premiers singles d’Inxs sont « Simple Simon » et « We are vegetables ». Aussi sortis en France....

Royals was a Finnish band, playing bluesy rock & roll. The band was formed in 1975. It consisted of Pave Maijanen (bass), Ippe Kätkä (drums) and Albert Järvinen (guitar). The band made two studio albums ("Spring 76" and Out) and one live album (Royals Live). In the year 1978 the band broke up.
