Formed in Australia, 1992 - the (then) three members, Darrin Verhagen, Charles and François Tétaz seeing the band as a vehicle for pursuing their musical interests. Their debut CD Bloody Tourist reflected this range, traversing ambient, ethnic, rock, funk and industrial styles. Seen by some critics as a swipe against the tasteful world music fad gripping the chill out rooms and tofu burger bars, Bloody Tourist set the blueprint for the band's lack of preciousness regarding genre "swing and mesh". There are six groups with this name: 1) The Four Horsemen were a band that had brief popularity in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They were based out of Hollywood California. Their 1st full-length CD, called "Nobody Said It Was Easy", was produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin. Their fame was fleeting but full of tragedy. Bruce Soord (ex- "Vulgar Unicorn") fonde "The Pineapple Thief" en tant que "dépotoire" de sa musique en 1999. Bruce sort donc le premier album "Abducting" avec le label Cyclops Records.
