Level 2.0; pronounced "level two point zero"; was formed in 2001 by life-long friends,Matt Clennan and Mike Hoffman (also Auxiliary Control) of Long Island, New York. Originally, the band was called "Final Project", until both members felt they had grown out of that name and wanted to evolve so they called it level 2.0, meaning the next level. Haluk Levent, born November 26th, 1968 in Adana, Turkey is one of the premier artists of anatolian rock; a distinctive genre combining the Turkish fusion of rock and Turkish folk. In his relatively short artistic career he has already put out 13 albums, held close to 10,000 concerts, wrote 2 books, won hundreds of awards, performed 2 record concerts (each lasting a span of 12 hours) and continues to be one of the prominent forces of rock in Turkey. The son of O'Jays founder Eddie LeVert, R&B vocalist Gerald LeVert launched his own recording career in the mid-'80s as the leader of the group LeVert. Rounding out the group was another one of Eddie LeVert's sons, Sean, in addition to member Marc Gordon, as the trio issued such popular recordings as 1985's I Get Hot, 1986's Bloodline (which spawned the number one hit single "Pop Pop Pop Goes My Mind"), 1987's The Big Throwdown, and 1988's Just Coolin', as the latter two releases earned gold certification.
